How to Play the Fast Lick from Knopfler's "Calling Elvis"
Просмотров 23 тыс.9 лет назад
Here is a quick tutorial of how to play the most famous lick from "Calling Elvis," by Mark Knopfler. I recommend playing this without a pick like Knopfler does! Sounds best on a strat with middle and bridge pickups active - nothing like a little soulful twang'!
How to Build a Handplane for Bodysurfing
Просмотров 43 тыс.9 лет назад
Here's a brief tutorial of how to build a custom handplane for under $15. Handplanes are a ton of fun since they give you more stability and also help to increase your control when making cuts in the wave! Comment on what you think my next project should be!

    Everything was great except the drums - way too busy for this song, which requires a subtle beat to acquire a groove.

    hey man looks great! just about finished making my own and was wondering how the screws have held up so far? cause its meant to be a gift and i dont want them to pop out or anything

    • @nickiaco
      @nickiaco 9 лет назад

      everything has held up quite well! if you're afraid the screws won't hold, try to find thicker ones. for me they're still anchored in quite tightly! I definitely recommend using synthetic leather over real leather for the strap because real leather shrinks, which could pose a problem! best of luck with your build :)

    • @nickpress5450
      @nickpress5450 9 лет назад

      Thanks for the reply man! I'll definitely use synthetic leather
